Maple Bacon & Cheese Biscuit Dunks

My oh my did we love these. They were a top finalist at the New York State Fair last year (2013). We can’t wait to see what New York entrants come up with this year!With maple bacon in the Bisquick dough and a delicious dipping into maple syrup, our taste buds were tantalized! Maple Bacon and Cheese Biscuit Dunks
2 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 strips maple bacon, cooked and chopped
1/4 cup melted butter
Pure granulated maple sugar
Maple syrup
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place Bisquick mix and milk in a bowl and mix for approximately 30 seconds. Mix in cheese (reserve a little to sprinkle on top, once removed from oven) and bacon. Drop spoonfuls onto parchment paper.
Brush tops of the biscuits with melted butter. Sprinkle with pure granulated maple sugar. Bake for approximately 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and sprinkle tops with cheese. Pour maple syrup in a bowl for dipping.
Serve warm.
